The Whittlesea Straw Bear
Whittlesey is a small market town situated on the edge of the Fens in the middle of a triangle between Peterborough, Wisbech and March.
Whittlesey town holds a small Friday market and a large Sunday market. It is host to some excellent fishing lakes and keen favorites for Anglers.
The scenery in the Fens is stunning all the year round and always guarantees some excellent pictures with photographers.
The local churches, St Andrew’s and St Mary’s, in Whittlesey town are medieval, dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries and both were restored during the 19th century. The spire of St Mary’s, a recognised landmark, can be seen for many miles across the Fens.
